PREQUALIFICATION PROCESS FOR PRIME CONTRACTORS & MEP SUBCONTRACTORS

The King City Union School District has authorized implementation of a prequalification process, including accepting the final list of prequalified prime contractors and MEP subcontractors, consistent with Public Contract Code Section 20111.6. The process is as follows:

  • Prospective contractors must submit a standardized prequalification questionnaire and financial statement (Prequalification Package) prior to submitting a bid/proposal.
  • King City Union School District will use a uniform system for rating prospective contractors based upon the completed prequalification packages ("Prequalification Process") .
  • The uniform rating system includes a process for potential contractors to appeal certain decisions with respect to the prequalification process ("Appeal Process").

Prequalification packages must be received by King City Union School District by 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2023. Email or hard copy mail are acceptable.
