CALIFORNIA UNIFORM PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION COST ACCOUNTING ACT (CUPCCAA)
CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION NOTICE

In accordance with the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (“CUPCCAA”), Public Contract Code section 22000 et seq., King City Union School District is inviting all licensed contractors to submit information for inclusion on the District’s CUPCCAA Informal Bidders List for the 2026 calendar year.

Contractors that are properly licensed and registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) are invited to submit their company information for consideration. Contractors included on the Informal Bidders List may be notified of bidding opportunities for public works projects subject to CUPCCAA informal bidding procedures.

Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 22032:

• Public projects of $75,000 or less may be performed by negotiated contract or purchase order.
• Public projects between $75,001 and $220,000 may be awarded using informal bidding procedures.
• Public projects exceeding $220,000 shall be formally bid.

To be eligible for inclusion on the Informal Bidders List, contractors must possess:

• A valid California Contractor’s License appropriate for the type of work performed;
• Current registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5; and
• Current contact information for bid notifications.

Interested contractors shall provide the following information:

• Company Name
• Mailing Address
• Contact Person
• Telephone Number
• Email Address
• California Contractor License Number and Classification(s)
• DIR Registration Number
• Type of Work Performed

Contractors are responsible for maintaining current license and DIR registration status throughout the calendar year. Inclusion on the Informal Bidders List does not guarantee the award of any contract.
